we are talking about what to do when you're really hard on yourself like so many

people are but it's common but it's also very difficult you know and many times when I'm

sitting in my my office you know with a life coaching client or a therapy client

or these days, you know, on my laptop on a video conference call with a therapy or life

coaching client, you know, I see in front of me a person who is so like accomplished, successful, genuinely likable, you know, so many things going for them,

often gorgeous. I mean, it seems from the outside, like they have everything going for them.

And they tell me that it doesn't feel that way on the inside you know they'll tell me that they

beat themselves up just mercilessly criticize themselves pass judgment on themselves or really just

kind of have a running commentary going on in their heads about

all of their mistakes, faults, shortcomings. And even worse, I think, when they do do things

that are fantastic, which is frequently, they like dismiss it.

It's like, oh, but that doesn't matter because the real truth is that I'm really not

And it's so hard, you know, because I think a lot of times people don't realize when
