| 0:46.9 | with other people. It really comes down to your social skills and whether or |
| 0:52.6 | not people feel like they know, like and trust you. Because when people like |

| 1:04.8 | Here's the first point, the most important point of all. The number one reason for |
| 1:09.0 | success or failure in our society is your ability to get along with others. It's |
| 1:14.8 | social skills. We found that poor social skills will hold you back more than |
| 1:20.1 | anything else. The Carnegie Institute of Technology did a study over 10 years |
| 1:24.6 | and they looked at thousands of people who've been let go by their companies. |
| 1:28.0 | They found that 95% of those who were let go was because of poor social skills, |
| 1:33.1 | not because of lack of technical competence. Now the key to social skills, the key |
| 1:38.9 | to number two, the ability to get along well with others. By the way, there's a |
| 1:44.1 | direct relationship between your ability to get along well with yourself and |
| 1:48.6 | your ability to get along well with others. The more you like yourself, the more |
| 1:52.5 | you like others, the more you respect yourself, the more you respect others and so |
| 1:56.2 | on. The ability to get along with others, social skills is based on making |
| 2:02.0 | others feel important. Make other people feel important. If you're looking for |
| 2:07.2 | the bottom line of all success and relationships, whether it's with customers |
| 2:10.6 | or others, make others feel important. And people who are really excellent in |
