Her mother's highly toxic behavior, coupled with her father's abusive and intimidating nature, created a volatile environment where Bekki and her siblings fought to survive. Tragically, Bekki often found herself on the receiving end of her mother's abuse, leaving her bewildered, traumatized, and fearful from a very young age. Despite the challenges, Bekki took on the role of protector, doing her best to shield her mother from her father's abuse. Yet, at any given moment, her mother could turn on her, leaving Bekki devastated.
Toxicity inevitably permeated the entire family unit, as everyone lived in survival mode. Becky endured immensely difficult times and embarked on a long journey of healing, to understand the events that had shaped her life. In this episode, Bekki generously shares her experiences, insights, and lessons learned, offering a profound opportunity for those on their healing journey to find solace, understanding, and hope.
