before on the show, but never had on personally. Hey, Dr. Tim Gersmar, how are you today I'm joined by somebody I've actually referenced before on the show, but never had on personally.

Hey, Dr. Tim Gersmar. How are you? I'm doing great, Ella. I really appreciate you giving me the chance to be on today.

We're talking about a subject that is tremendously exciting to me that I work with on a day-to-day basis

that I've been working with for a lot of years now. And there's tremendous need out there for better treatment, more knowledge in people. And I'm so excited,

you know, you reached out to your audience to get some feedback on questions they have about

autoimmunity. And we were both blown away by just how much interest and enthusiasm, how

smart and educated your audience is, and how they're hungry for more

answers. So I'm really excited today that we get a chance to talk about that and answer as many

of those questions as we can. Well, Dr. G, can you just tell everybody kind of who you are and what

you do? Sure, absolutely. So just for anybody out there, I have a practice located in Redmond,

Washington. So that's where I practice.

By designation, I'm a naturopathic doctor, which most people have never heard about. I never did

either until I was introduced to this. So do you want to hear just the short version of my back story,

how I came to be in this? Yeah. So I was in college, and one day my dad had to go in for surgery and went off to school and work.

And then later that night when I was finally settling down, I got a phone call from my mom who was in tears.

And my dad had had the surgery. It went well. But then sometime afterward while he was recovering from the anesthetic, he suffered a stroke.
