Summary
"You just have to show up. And I showed up."
Not too long ago, Mo Alkhawaldeh was a casual smoker. Today, he's a 2:23 marathoner with his sights set on representing his home country of Jordan in the 2020 Olympic Games. But although Mo is one of the top-ranked runners in the Middle East and Africa, he's not a full-time runner: He works full-time at Princeton University, where he's also the head coach of the Princeton Running Club. He gets his training done before and after work — elite marathoners, they're just like us! In 2015, Runner's World named Mo one of the 50 most influential people in running. Mo, who is coached by Ryan Hall, is currently training for the Berlin Marathon, where he hopes to run a 2:18.

| 0:27.1 | I totally over trained, totally got in my head and totally crossed the finish line of full half |
| 0:32.8 | hour past my goal time. Cool, good times. I am not the person from whom to take running advice. |
| 0:39.2 | After all, my motto is positive splits for positive people. But here's what I can do. I can ask a |
| 0:45.5 | lot of nosy questions from a lot of people who are qualified to give you great advice. Whether |
| 0:51.2 | you're training for your first marathon, your fastest marathon, or your come back from illness or |
| 0:56.4 | injury marathon, I want to help make sure you get to that start line feeling amazing. |

| 1:33.0 | So, 2 23 marathoner must be a full time pro, right? Not so. Mo works full time at Princeton |
| 1:39.3 | University and squeezes his hardcore training in before and after the work day, just like the |
| 1:44.4 | rest of us. In 2015, runners-whold magazine named Mo one of the 50 most influential people in running. |
| 1:51.5 | Let's find out why. |
