Good morning and welcome back to the morning mindset edition of the

liberal change podcast. My name is Carrie Green. I'm a retired pastor and just a

co-journier with you on this Christian walk that we have entered into through

our faith in Jesus Christ.

And I want to continue the conversation that we began yesterday as we were talking about this phrase that you hear a lot nowadays

called limiting beliefs and again the implication is that we believe things that limit us in certain ways.

And while I think that is true, I think the limitation should be thought of differently.

It's not so much limiting us, but limiting God.

Now that sounds like a pretty audacious statement

to think that a human being could limit God in any way.

And I don't mean that we have the absolute sovereign authority over him by

resisting him or thinking contrary to what he says is true. That's not what I mean at all.

What I mean is God has created us in such a way as to operate in this world according to certain principles,

according to certain laws that he's put in place.

And after we receive Christ as our Savior, he places the

Holy Spirit of God within us to empower us to do those things in new ways, in more

effective ways, in more God-honoring ways.

And when we, through the repetition of these limiting beliefs,

continue to live in a way that is not in a beliefs. and is transforming us from the inside out.

There is naturally a limitation that's happening there in terms of what God wills to happen in our

lives.
