My girlfriend woke up to what sounded like a siren, like the light sound of a siren.

And it didn't seem right.

So we opened the windows.

Definitely a siren.

And then soon we discovered that sometime over during the night Israel had carried out an assassination of a basically the leader

of the military military wing of uh islamic jihad Bahá Abba al-A

Al-Ata

Am I saying that right? Yeah.

And this is something that

probably most of you know and then

a series of escalations

took place over the day.

Now we're after

many, many rocket attacks from Gaza and return attacks from the

IDF. And that's why we're here today to talk about it. So we're joined by Anna Arnhime, a military

correspondent for the Jerusalem Post, who can help us maybe understand what the heck is going on.
