And I'm joined by three guests.

So first up, we've got Mark Ferrari.

He's the author of the novel The Book of Joby from Tor Books,

and he also drew the background art for two of my all-time favorite games,

Brian Moriarty's loom and Ron Gilbert's The Secret of Monkey Island.

Mark is also producing retro pixel art backgrounds for Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick's new

points-and-click adventure game Thimbleweed Park. So Mark, welcome to the show.

By day he works as a visual designer at the software company, Warkiva,

and in his spare time he freelances as an illustrator

under the name Draws Good for clients like Hasbro, Riot Games, and Skull Candy.

His illustrations will be appearing this fall in the Puffin-Pixil series which are books that use retro-pixel art to illustrate classic stories like Robin Hood and King Arthur.
