0:23.1	I'm good. I'm glad to be with you. I'm glad to have this conversation because I know that
0:27.3	dealing with grief has been a big part of my journey, as I'm sure it has for you. Tell me,
0:33.5	how did this work start for you? I had a mother growing up who was in and out of hospitals.
0:40.4	And when I was 13, she had to be hospitalized in the big city hospital that was a few hours away.
0:47.4	And we were at a hotel.
0:49.3	And while we're at the hotel, someone starts yelling fire.
0:57.1	Everyone runs out. We look up at the 18th floor.
1:04.6	Fire flames are coming out. Fire trucks pull up. It's exciting. You know, I'm a bored 13-year-old.
1:14.0	And then all of a sudden shooting begins. And they realize this isn't just a fire. This is an active shooter. And it went on for hours. In fact, now it's considered one of the first mass shootings in the U.S.
1:20.4	So I watched hotel guests, police officers, so many people being killed. And then my father finally got us back to the hospital for
1:32.0	safety. And then a couple of days later, my mother died. So a lot of trauma and death for a 13-year-old.
1:41.4	And I felt damaged forever. And I began my healing journey and trying to as I learned
1:49.7	information and things to pass it on to others.
