Author and speaker, Jeffrey Giddeber said,

you can't be a winner if you're a whiner, weiner. I'd have to agree with that. And when you talk about owning it, really, it's the opposite of whining. It's taking responsibility for your

results, for your career, for your life, owning it, stepping in your zone,

looking in the mirror, and owning it, and realizing there may be things that conspire against

you, we call them adverse conditions, but by making better decisions and owning those

decisions, taking responsibility for those decisions,

you can marginalize adverse conditions. So let me just tell you, if you want to live the game

change your life, you're going to have more influence, you need more respect, you need to be

promoted, you need more opportunities, you need more responsibility, you want more trust,

you want to aspire to greater things,

right? How do you get there? Well, a big part of it. Own it. Owning it will earn you influence.

It will earn you respect. People respect other people who don't blame, who just own it,

who put it on their back and carry it. They want to promote people who can do that because it shows

integrity. They want to give more opportunities to people who own it. I mean, who wants to give

an opportunity to a loser who when things don't go well, don't go the right way, they're going to

blame somebody. They're not going to own it. They're going to make an excuse. They're not

bringing home the bacon. They're belching out the baloney.
