16. So it's really fun when you get to start to teach people, oh there's so many more

choices and you can have so much more control over your thoughts and your

behaviors and your feelings than I ever was taught, than I ever knew.

Well I am truly excited to have you back today.

Our guest is Patty Davis. She is a fantastic licensed mental health counselor and she

practices adventure therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical family systems,

gushtalt and play therapy with people of all ages to overcome all sorts of issues, but what we explored when you were here last time was that

counselors aren't just for once we have trauma counselors often can be almost like helping us fill in the gaps in terms of our skill sets.

So a teenager or a parent or a professional can go to a counselor to help them gain more life skills.

Absolutely.

Absolutely.

And I'm really excited about that.

So let's explore that a little bit because, you know, my parents always told me to just save money.

I mean, they were great with money.

My parents were great with money.

My parents were great with me.

And they just said, save money. My parents were great and they just said save money and they never

sat down and taught me the skills. Right like the concrete steps. Yeah.

What would that look like? Because they just thought, well, save money.

I mean, I save money, why can't you save money, right?
