Kishan was a valued member of the local community where he ran the village stores and the whole

community is devastated. But first, the Home Secretary ofette Cooper has confirmed to MPs

that there will be a new overarching inquiry into child sex abuse gangs in England and Wales, something the government resisted at the start of this year.

The decision follows a review by Louise Casey, who said she herself had changed her mind on the need for an inquiry after seeing what she called the reluctance of local

areas to face up to the fact that they didn't treat victims properly. It's now known that

thousands of girls, some as young as 10, were groomed for sex by older men, many of Asian

ethnicity. Authorities, including the police, repeatedly dismissed or downplayed the girls' accusations.

Lady Casey's report refers to organisations avoiding the topic for fear of appearing to be racist.

Yvette Cooper said the findings were disturbing but what was worse, not new.
