Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Mormon Stories podcast. I am your host John

0:05.4

DeLin. It is May 16th, 2022 and we are super excited for today's episode. A dear friend

0:13.2

of mine and someone who has appeared on Mormon Stories in the past several times. Anthony

0:18.7

Miller is going to be joining us today. You'll be hearing his story in his TED Talk. We'll

0:24.2

also be having him here on the episode. But if I can just share what Anthony means to me,

0:29.7

I first remember meeting Anthony at a Sunstone workshop, Faith Crisis Workshop that I held.

0:37.0

I think we decided that the year was 2016. So this would have been a year after I was actually

0:41.5

communicated. I think Gina Colvin and Thomas McConkey were there in the workshop. And this wonderful

0:47.2

thoughtful, slightly scared, tremoring, baldest kind of, but also red-headed man came to my workshop.

1:03.3

to have him as part of the workshop. And from there, I have just seen Anthony become kind of a real

1:18.3

He ended up joining the thoughtful faith Facebook group. He may have even joined that from before,

1:23.2

which now I think is called Waters of Mormon. But eventually, I think Lindsay Hansen Park even

1:28.0

recruited him to kind of do onboarding kind of training sessions for Mormons who are fresh in

1:34.4

Faith Crisis. That's not to mention how many people he's individually mentored in their Mormon

1:40.0

Faith Crisis over the years. He's blogged a lot and he's been on several Mormon stories podcast

1:45.4

episodes. He's been on Bill Reels Mormon discussions podcast several times if I'm recalling

1:50.8

correctly. But most importantly, he is just by far one of the most thoughtful, sensitive,

1:56.9

kind and compassionate voices we have in progressive and post-mormonism. And so I was, of course,

2:04.4

thrilled when I learned that Anthony Miller was invited or was accepted to give a TED talk.

2:11.6

I should also add that Anthony will be hearing this in the TED talk, but Anthony also has been a
