Uh, hello, this is Make the Nation where we talk about news, we talk about politics and

where we lament the timing of this recording.

I am your host, Nakee Farsad and we're actually

recording Tuesday just before the debates and I know you guys know that we are

normally a Thursday record things are, travel is being done, I'm sorry we're not going to be

talking about the debates this week, but we are going to be talking about other assorted

beltway sheep skull duggery or I was going to say shenanigansary but

that's not a word we'll also look back at the Al Franken situation.

And finally, Summer, it's happening.

I've known both of these gentlemen

for quite a long time.

First up, we have the comedy writer.

Oh my God, he just ended a ridiculously long tenure for Conan. He also had a ridiculously long tenure for John

Stewart. Ridiculously long because he is so much beloved as a comedy writer and you can check out his great works.

He also has a book which I forgot the name and he's not even trying to promote that book
