What's up, you guys? How's your week been? How's it going? I am still in Palm Springs, still on my bullshit. I've been here for longer than anticipated.

Every day I woke up and I said today's the day I go home and you know that it hasn't happened yet. So we'll see. Maybe I live here now. Who knows?

Duh, duh, duh. On Monday's episode we talked about the St. Auburn Street Massacre and you know older cases I feel like people are sometimes hesitant to listen to.

They're like no I want to hear I want to hear more current I want to hear more recent which we rarely do on this show. However, the St. Auburn Street Massacre is honestly it's such a grizzly story. I was talking to Olivia she called me. She was like oh what are you doing?

I was like oh I'm just finishing up part two of Monday's episode and she's like is it an episode that I can listen to?

Yeah it's for those of you who don't know Olivia's my sister. She can't handle hearing some of the grizzly details. And I was like oh yeah you know the majority of it takes place in 1929. There's a story from 1919 in there so it's pretty old. And then I was like well actually this happens and this happens and she's like yeah I don't I can't hear that. And I was like okay it's such a fascinating story.

I'm really excited for part two. We are going in on all the different suspects and theories that I have and just aftermath. It's so insane. On a bitury this week we talked about Katarid syndrome, aka walking corpse syndrome which if you're not familiar give that episode a listen because it is fascinating. It's essentially people have like woken up one day and they just don't believe they're alive anymore.

Like everything in them believes that they've already passed away. It's fascinating. Madison also talked about casket clubs which I think is such a cool concept such a cool thing to do. What else? Oh okay I'm so excited. I got an email you guys from okay remember I did the Mori Island incident the first case of men in black the UFO Mori Island. Well in that episode I talked about the film that they made about it. And I actually got an email from the writer and co-producer of the film.

I was like I listened to the podcast episode on Mori Island. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing about our film. I'm the writer if you want to do a follow. Like I like to sit here and tell you guys stories. I like to share what I find interesting with all of you. And I feel like I think I forget sometimes that like oh yeah like actually kind of a lot of people listen to this. And it's just wild whenever anything like that happens. So I thought that was so cool to kind of have I felt like I had their seal of approval a little bit.

So who knows we could have a Mori Island incident part two coming up we'll just have to wait and see. Speaking of aliens though let's get into some emails. Our first one had the subject line UFO sighting. I believe. Hi Spencer. After listening to your episode take me to your letter. I wanted to send you a little leader about my own personal experience to what I believe was a UFO sighting. It was the summer of 2001. I am 12 years old and outside late one night with my friend. We were hoping to see some shooting stars.

I'm from a very small town population 1300 in the upper pent upper peninsula. I must have Pennsylvania. And I'm in the upper Pennsylvania of Michigan. And there wasn't slash isn't much to do up there other than be outside. And up there you can see the stars perfectly. No lights just the sky. I'm setting the scene because what happens next was literally out of this world.

My friend and I were about to head inside for the night and we both turned to walk in and I can only describe it as a huge flying figure. The size of an airplane glowing bright blue in shape like an arrow. It was so fast that we were both screamed and fell onto the ground covering ourselves.

Again, this happened so fast that by the time we looked up it was gone. We both looked at each other and just ran into my house. We had other friends over that night and we both agreed we weren't going to say anything because well it sounded crazy and no one would believe us. Fast forward to May of 2021. My husband and I were watching the new series on Netflix, Unsolved Mysteries. And one of the episodes is about UFO sightings. We watched the entire thing and I turned to him and told him my story.

He looked at me in disbelief of course and I asked him if he believed me and he said, uh well I believe that you think you saw something that night. Which again I don't blame him for being skeptical. It's a crazy story.

Then the Pentagon released the tapes of the UFOs and I brought it up to him again. I told him that I was going to write my friend who was with me that night and see if she remembers.

This friend and I have lost touch over the years but I messaged her on Instagram and I started the conversation like hi Megan, this might be the most random message you get. But do you remember that night when we were outside and we saw something while watching shooting stars?

My husband's having a really hard time believing me and I would like you if you remember to describe what you saw. She wrote me back and described exactly what I saw and what I have been telling my husband.

I took a screenshot and sent it to my husband and he replied, oh my god you saw a UFO. Yeah, now you believe what she believes, what she believes, what she saw. Come on.
