Hello and welcome to episode 159 of Geek's Guide to the Galaxy.

Our guest today is film producer Jason Blum.

He's one of the most prolific producers in Hollywood,

having worked on over 50 movies, mostly low-budget horror films like

Paranormal Activity, The Purge, and Sinister.

He also recently edited the anthology The Blumhouse Book of Nightmare's The Haunted City, which includes short fiction by

Hollywood figures like Ethan Hawk and Eli Roth. And we have an actual sponsor for

today's show, which is very exciting. Now if you're a long time listener you may remember that we had

a sponsor for episodes 22 through 27. What you may not know is that back then I was really

ready to shelf Geek's Guide to the Galaxy permanently,

and getting that sponsor was what convinced me to keep going.

Unfortunately, that sponsor only lasted six episodes,

but by that point I'd already agreed to keep doing the show,

brought in enough money to justify the time and effort it takes to produce it, and that I've really
