I'm your host Chris Yeelman and today on the show we are going to be talking about

the overlooked emotional sin of fear. So humanly speaking, there are many reasons why we can feel fear, we can become

fearful, perhaps a fear of rejection, a fear of death, or perhaps a fear of what others think

and these can rob your joy. They can

stunt our spiritual growth and they can have our lives miserable very quickly.

And so what biblical solutions do we're going to

we have available to overcome fear and to live fearlessly.

That's what we're going to be talking about today.

As I mentioned, continue our series overlooked emotional sins. So Aaron, maybe a good place to start is just how big of a

deal is fear. What are some causes perhaps of people's fear in their lives?

Chris I happen to think as I've observed people's responses to some of the global issues we've experienced over the past five years that this is like a category 10 issue for many people in our society and

Sadly in the Christian Church.

So we have now at our disposal the ability to look back on four years,

roughly, three years of pandemic madness and I am still stunned at how fearful and

terrified so many Christians were during that period of time.

Non-christians kind of expect it because the sum total of their existence is their physical health,

and when that was under threat, supposedly,

they obviously become fearful.

They don't have resurrection hope.
