So on Monday I did a workshop for some writer friends and it was really great and at the end of it it was sort of like we wanted to keep writing together and at the end of every workshop I always get asked like how do I continue this like how do I take all this discovery writing that I did and actually turn it into a script? |
1:36.0 | And my answer is, you know, I have all kinds of answers and strategies, but you know, the answer is right, something try anything but at the end of it we decided that we would |
1:46.9 | continue to meet so one of the women in the group put together like a library's hour twice a week and I showed up on I think it was |
1:56.2 | Wednesday and I wrote for my two and a half hours and I wrote a half of a play that |
2:01.3 | I've been half rattling around in my head and I've never sat down to do. |
2:05.2 | And it was great. Yesterday I started writing poetry and I have something I haven't done in a really, really long time. But what was really great about it is, you know, in screenwriting and TV writing, there are so many rules that can feel like you can get really burdened by them and really sort of overwhelmed by the rules and the expectations and how things should be. |
