Summary
We just wrapped up our first Lilies Ladies weekend retreat! It was such a great experience so I wanted to share some of the highlights with y'all. In this episode Jasmine Ima and I talk about the weekend, our takeaways and what we learned about the importance of rest!
You may not be in a place where you can get away for a small retreat, however rest is important wherever you are. This year has not allowed for a lot of rest children are home parents are working from home as well so we have to be extra creative in how we find rest and give Christ the quiet to speak into. I hope you Enjoy this episode and I really hope to meet more of you the next time we do a Lilies Ladies retreat.

| 0:00.0 | Welcome to Among the Lillies, a podcast with ladies who are tired of pretending and are |
| 0:11.7 | ready to be real, Elisa here and today we have a really fun episode for you all. |
| 0:18.0 | We just finished the first Lillies ladies weekend, it's a bit of a tongue twister so I'm glad |
| 0:24.1 | I got it all out. Anyway, it was a really special intimate, restful weekend for just a couple |
| 0:32.9 | of our patrons and Cameron and they had such a beautiful time and so this episode is just |
| 0:41.0 | Cameron kind of wrapping things up and sharing along with a few of the people that were there, |
| 0:48.1 | her experience was what was special to her as well as some of the attendees share their |
| 0:55.4 | own experiences. What was special to them? But I wanted to take a minute to talk about the idea |
| 1:00.1 | of rest because that is what the ladies were kind of focused on in this retreat and not all of us |
| 1:09.0 | were able to go. I know I was not and some of us may not be in a position where we will be able |
| 1:14.3 | to go for a period of time because of what's going on with COVID. So I just wanted to talk about |
| 1:18.6 | this idea of rest and the importance of finding rest in our everyday life and whether you are a |
| 1:26.6 | mom, whether you are a wife, whether you are single, it doesn't matter, rest is so important and I |
| 1:33.9 | really feel like with everything that's going on in the world, it has become so much harder to take |
| 1:39.1 | that time to focus on ourselves, to give ourselves space, maybe not to focus on ourselves, to give |
| 1:47.1 | ourselves space to sit and to feel and to hear from the Lord and to just be and we all need that, |
| 1:56.2 | especially after what we have all gone through as a world, as a nation, there is so much happening |
| 2:02.6 | that we really need this space to be able to sit before the cross, maybe in adoration, |
| 2:10.8 | before the body of Christ, before the Eucharist, to be able to give Christ the quiet |
| 2:22.6 | so that He can speak to us. So I just want to encourage you today as you go about your day, |
| 2:29.9 | if there is a way that you are able to give yourself, you're in five minutes, 10 minutes, |
| 2:38.0 | just see if there's a way you can take the time to sit and to be and to let Jesus say the things |
