Welcome back to the QODS! Show I'm your Hope, Sean Crox and Sean Crox and.com. We got Rob

and Sharma on this show today wrapping up our three-part series on leadership. Today he's

going to share five pivot points that are going to move you if necessary from victimhood

to becoming a real leader. Rob and Sharma, he's coming up.

We have a lot of great leaders in this leadership. So you can lead without a title. If you are

deriving your power within your government from the title on your business card, you're

in a very vulnerable position because people will not follow you. They will not give you

their best. They will not give you their energy. They're creativity. If they're just following

you because you are the boss, lead without a title. And if you don't have a title, don't

give away your power and say, I can't lead because I'm not the managing director or the

boss of this department or a minister or ahead of state. Lead where you're planted. Because

leadership isn't really about a title. Leadership is really an approach. Leadership is a way

of being. Some of you might be from human resources. One of my favorite overheads. He said,

we're looking for an aggressive persistent salesperson like for example the one who sold

you that suit. So let me give you some rules for leadership. And before I get into those,

I want to give you, would it be helpful if I gave you some pivot points to go from

any form of victimhood to leadership show of hands? Would that be good? Excellent. So I

usually don't share this. I'm going to do it for you. But number one, the victim is all

about can't. The leader is all about can. Now that's not just some platitude. Study the

work of Ellen Langer at Harvard University. And she talks about the psychology of possibility.
