Hello, how are you doing?

0:04.1

I'm doing well.

0:05.6

We had Mia on the show today.

0:08.4

Mia Hughes, the author of the report that accompanied the W Path files released recently and that was an amazing conversation.

0:18.0

Yeah, we got into all sorts with Mia. You know I consider her friend now. I've just got to know her in the last few months quite intensely with the W Path files and she wrote such a beautiful piece of writing. It's such an important piece of writing, the report that goes with the W-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-Sb being the leaked conversations

0:37.2

from the internal channels from W-P-P-P-P-P-P-I'm Mea is a real, she's got a wealth of information and she imparted in such an interesting way.

1:07.2

conversation, I think we could have gone on for hours. It's already a very long conversation and we could have gone on for

1:11.9

hours.

1:13.0

Yeah, and what I really appreciate too because those those listeners who are here, you might

1:19.3

have heard Mia before, she's an amazing X profile Twitter X where she writes really

1:26.9

informative and deep thinking threads about gender and gender medicine.

1:33.4

But we also got to hear a little bit more about her personal story,

1:36.5

which I haven't heard her share anywhere,

1:38.5

like how she became aware of this gender stuff,

1:41.8

her kind of journey for a lack of a better term from being actually very what she calls woke to like realizing something very strange was happening in response to JK Rowling's very reasonable tweets and so she kind of tells us how she got into this and

1:59.5

how she really quickly realized that something very unhealthy is going on,

2:04.7

not only with the way people responded to JK Rowling, but when she discovered what's happening to kids.

2:10.5

And so she just went from, you know, someone who left a career teaching to homeschool her kids to stay home with kids to becoming a full-time writer covering gender issues.
