Welcome everybody to Soccer one-O-1. My name is Taylor Rockwell, and this week we're spending some time with the Asian Cup, the primary

competition for the national teams of the Asian Football Confederation.

It's similar to the Copa America in South America, which the Asian Cup does not predate,

and the European Cup in Europe, which it somehow does.

When did it first begin play?

Who are the most dominant teams in the tournament's history, and how much of of it is Graham Ruffin able to multi-screen at any given moment? Here with me to answer all those

questions but uniquely qualified for the last one is Graham Ruffin. Hi, Graham. Hello, Taylor

Rockwell. I appreciate the compliment, but actually Asian Cup games have not been broadcast on British

TV. So the screen is in place.

It's available and waiting for an Asian Cup signal or a match signal.

But so far, that signal has not been forthcoming.

So unfortunately, not able to hold the screen.

And are you going to have to go with dodgy streams, shall we put it?

I mean, it depends who's listening to this.

Well, we'll leave it there, but Graham has not been able to watch nearly as much of it.

We have not been able to cover nearly as much of it.

I think the plan on the total soccer show at time of recording, the 2024, Asian Cup is underway.

We are planning to talk about it a bit more as we get to the later

rounds. And the reason why we haven't really talked about it will probably come later when we

talk about some of the issues and challenges that the tournament faces. But first, Graham, we should

talk about the history itself, starting with what it is. I ran through it briefly, but do you

have any more to add on the basics?
