Every society is different, you know, but here in the US one thing I liked about this society is the abundance of opportunity.

You know, although at that point in time I really did not see other opportunities that were available to me,

but what I saw was way more than what I was exposed to in my home country Cameron.

And my understanding of opportunities was you have to go out and work and get a job, get paid

and work more hours and if you need more money you go work you go put in more hours.

So that was my understanding and that is the predominant understanding in most people in my community, in the immigrant community.
