Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Mormon Stories podcast. I'm your host John

Delin. It is March 7th, 2022 and I am so incredibly excited and humbled and grateful for the

episode that you are about to hear for the past several weeks. I think many of us throughout

the world really have been heartbroken or afraid about or concerned about the amassing

of Russian soldiers and weapons and military units on the border of Ukraine and then of

course so many in the in the world in the aware thoughtful concerned world were so concerned

when Vladimir Putin and Russia invaded Ukraine a sovereign independent peaceful state that

may be in editorial opinion but that's my opinion and then we've been heartbroken to see

the news coverage of again a sovereign Eastern European country being invaded and bombed

and shelled and we've also been inspired by footage of the president of Ukraine along

with the citizens and the soldiers doing their best to defend their country and heartbroken

to see the refugees and the casualties and so we have wanted to find out a way to cover

this I should do a shout out and we'll include this in the show notes with Jen that we have

interviewed one Ukrainian on Mormon stories podcast in the past. Her name was Nastya if I

believe I'm pronouncing that right be hoon we are going to include that episode in the

show notes but we're grateful and humbled that we have found a way to give some coverage

to the Ukrainian conflict in a way that also very much aligns with the mission of Mormon

stories in the Obstorys Foundation I want to give a shout out to my dear friend Courtney

who I think was a really important instigator for this episode to happen along with Harado

who has been producing this behind the scenes but today we are going to be interviewing a

post Mormon woman who is I understand it was born in Ukraine and has lived in Ukraine as

recently as just a few years ago and her name is Kaseña and I hope I'm pronouncing that
