Because yoga is all about the mind, right?

Once you understand this, you understand a lot about yoga.

The idea is we have a true nature, the self, underneath the body, underneath the mind, there's the soul, the self, and that soul has its

eternal nature, you know, eternal, full of knowledge, full of bliss.

And we're out of touch with that.

And so we're living within the mind.

We identify with the mind.

Our thoughts and our opinions and our feelings, our emotions, we think that's me.

When really, no, that's just an external instrument that's going through all these changes.

And you're looking at it.

It's like when you're in a movie theater and you're looking at what's going on in the movie screen,

and then you begin to get absorbed in it.

At a certain point, you're no longer just like a person observing the movie, but you're caught up in the movie.

And so you're crying, you're laughing according to what's happening.

But nothing's happening except like light is being shined on a screen,

but you kind of get lost in it, and you can forget that I'm sitting in a movie theater.

You can cease to feel like the observer, and you feel like you're in it.

And that's what we do, looking at the mind.

The yogi's trying to say, you're not the mind. Separate. Look at it like an observer. See, oh, it's happy. It's not I'm

happy right now. My mind is happy right now. It's not that I'm depressed right now. My mind's
