Hello and welcome back to Cult Leader. I'm your Cult Leader Spencer Henry and this is a little leader where I read the stories that you send to me.

0:45.0

Hey, if you have a story you'd like to submit to share with the cult, send it on over to Spencer at Cult Leader.com and make sure to put little leaders somewhere in the title, the subject line, the body of the email just somewhere in there.

I guess also make sure to write sorry for the long email because it's tradition at this point. We like traditions. I mean, we're a cult, right? You know what? We need to come up with our cult rules. I also don't feel like telling anyone what to do though.

So a cult of individualist, let's see what did we do this week? We talked about Lana Turner and the murder of Johnny Stompinato on Monday's episode of Cult Leader, which I love that story so much. Obviously, I feel like I've done a lot of old Hollywood stories.

1:28.0

But at this point, I think we all know that those are always like my favorite topics to dive into when we're talking about Moira. Not so much cults.

1:36.0

It wasn't a lot of great cult happening in Hollywood, but there is one story about a famous starlet who had a tie to the Church of Satan. So I'm working on an episode about that. Don't want to give away too much.

On Thursday is Obituary. When that came out yesterday, we talked about cremation. Madison told the story of La Pazquilita, which is such a cool story. There's a part. So we get a lot of weird sources, as I'm sure you can imagine.

2:03.0

For Obituary, especially in particular, sometimes the names of the sources are really wild. And we were just dying. And I was laughing when I was listening back to the episode.

2:15.0

I listened to that part of it and I was cracking up. So I'm going to play you a little clip right now from this week's episode of Obituary. It's just like a quick second clip when Madison's talking about where she got her source from for one of her topics.

2:30.0

If she did. According to random times.com. Wow, this incredible source Madison, you really pulled out the big gun, which which university is this out of?

2:46.0

I found this on a well jokes.net. Okay, fuck off.

2:53.0

According to E-bombs world. The stories of La Pazquilita have been. What?

3:07.0

So good. Obituary is such a blast. Thank you guys for all of your support with Obituary, by the way. We're off to a good start. Love in it.

Now let's get into some email. So the subject line on this first one says chapter one. We're writing a book Greetings Father Spencer. Hey, that's new. I'm into it. Father Spencer. Sorry for the long email as ceremony dictates. But yes.

3:32.0

But I just had to write you to tell you about some of the fucked up shit in my life. Sure. First of all, please feel free to use my name. I go by Jesse. I'm from East Texas. And I grew up seeing all kinds of spooky stuff.

3:43.0

But I'll have to email about that later. To get started, I wanted to tell you about my maternal grandfather. I never took the chance to get to know him as a child.

3:50.0

He was an ass to say the least and I learned early on to skirt around him if at all possible. But it may not have been his fault.

3:57.0

You see, I couldn't tell you much about his childhood. I don't think I've ever even heard about his biological father, but I know about his stepdad.

4:04.0

He was a fight promoter and club owner down in Houston, Texas, like gentleman's club owner. And his mom, well, since there weren't any lingerie stores around at the time, she sewed all of the costumes and sexy wear for the girls that worked at the gentleman's club.

4:19.0

I never got to meet either of them. Well, that's a shame because I bet they had some real good stories. But back to my grandfather, he accidentally killed... Oh my god.

4:27.0

He accidentally killed one of his best friends when he was in high school, shot him in the head point blank. They had just returned home from hunting and they were cleaning the guns.
