I love you and I appreciate you every single day. And our film review this week, our film

review is The Cellar. The cellar was released in 2022. It is 5.3 out of 10 at IMDB and

30% on Rotten Tomatoes. Kira Woods's daughter mysteriously vanishes

in the cellar of their new house. She soon discovers there is an ancient and powerful entity

controlling their home that she will have to face or risk losing her family's souls forever.

So like last week I'm going to keep this short and sweet and we are going to start with

the things that I liked about this film. This film is based on a short film called

10 Steps. And basically the concept of the short film was that a girl is babysitting.

She rings her parents because the power goes out and she has to go into the basement to

like find the fuse box, flick the switch, but she's re-frightened so she rings her dad

and her dad says to her, look there's only 10 steps. So I'll count the 10 steps with

you and then you're in the basement and then I can talk you through it and they count

the 10 steps together but she doesn't stop with the 10 step. She keeps counting and counting

and walking into this dark oblivion which I think is a really really good concept for

a short film and basically the entire film is built around that concept. And the reason

why I specifically wanted to watch this film is because it's an Irish film and I love

watching Irish films and I particularly love when good Irish horror films came out.
