Welcome to the Vox Podcast and if you don't know Vox is a Latin word for voice and on

there are other Vox Podcasts out there there There's this big Vox media empire, but for us in our little corner of the internet,

Vox, the reason we're entitled Vox is we think that there's something beautiful about Jesus's voice to the world. That, you know, while we argue over you know

scripture and and the existence of God and his goodness and

providence in the world all those sorts of things there's something very simply and radically

beautiful about just reflecting on the the voice of Jesus that Jesus is the

voice of God to the world and and so the goal of the Vox Podcast, and I love, I actually read something on Twitter today that I absolutely love.

This person had tweeted out the goal of priests isn't to run a spiritual or religious

business offering goods and services but rather to make people curious

about Jesus and I love that.

I absolutely love that.

And I know I'm saying absolutely a lot,

but I absolutely love it.

Because I think that if you could summarize the goal of the podcast, it would at least be that.

That we think there's something beautiful about Jesus that has been distorted by the

Christian subculture that's grown up around him.

And so in our words, we want to help people deconstruct that subculture and reconstruct

their faith in the authentic, the real true beautiful Jesus.

And so doing that has just created this beautiful community,

literally a church community in California,

lots of informal communities across the nation,
