You know you think of it as you start at the cliff right and you jump and there are all these

different safety nets you have to fall through or different like pitfalls you have to get through

to get to the next level and when I really thought about it realistically and logically I was like okay I have savings if I quit my job and within six months I've burned through

more than I want to then you know I get a full-time job again. End of story.

Or if I'm stubborn and I'm like, okay, I don't want the full-time job,

keep trying to freelance, scraping by,

maybe burning through more savings.

Other worst-case scenario, I move to a cheaper city.

And like, depending on what you're

willing to barter to do the work you want to do and have the career you want to have

it's everyone's got a different risk tolerance and it's really important if you're making

any risky decisions or things you're scared about to really just write it down or

draw it out whatever works for you.
