three years working in more informal teaching roles in outdoor education,

and seven years working in the formal classroom, teaching secondary level, English, and social studies.

Despite her love for teaching, Kate found herself wanting to make a professional change

when engaging students seem to become harder and harder each year following the pandemic.

Kate now works for a nonprofit in communications and community outreach.
