It was basically a goon squad, a hit squad. We called it Expo, the expanded patrol operation.

And we had countywide jurisdiction and we just wrote, we didn't answer calls for service.

We went and found the bad guys. We didn't stop little old ladies for traffic violations or anything like that. We went into all our high crime areas and we went looking for the guys we knew were pulling triggers and we found a whole bunch of them.

So excellent, excellent.

So you guys got Expo going and here's, you know, I've lost my training thought a while ago and here's what the point I wanted to make.

You had mentioned proactive

versus reactive policing and reactive is you're just you're answering to

calls after crimes have been committed whereas proactive you're going out and

searching for the crimes before they happen.

And that's the way it really should be.

And that's what you can do when you have sufficient manpower
