is like years in the making that I would have the chance to be on Mormon Stories and share

my story. And so I'm thrilled to be here. I'm a fan first of all. I want you to know that.

Like I love what you do. I love the podcast. And right after I came out, people should know

you called and said, hey, don't you want to come in? I was like, oh, God, I really want

to, John. But I, and that was 2017. And I'm like, I need to like get myself right first.

It was such an overwhelming moment. And I wanted to make sure I could tell the story in full

and feel good about it. And so I had, I wrote a book which made me feel much better about

it. And, uh, and about talking more about my faith, struggle, and about my journey, about

my family. And so the culmination of all those things has sort of led me now to this moment
