God's Word is foundational for our lives as Christians.

The Bible is God's special revelation of himself,

our ultimate authority for understanding who he is,

what he's done, and how we can be saved.

And yet, although we all have a Bible, probably more than one at home,

many of us nevertheless still have questions.

Questions like, how do I get started with a consistent habit of reading the Bible? When should

I read it? How long? And what if I don't understand something? In our interview today,

I'm asking Greg Gilbert these and other common questions about what it means to read the Bible well.

Greg serves as senior pastor at Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky, and is the author of a

number of books, including The Epic Story of the Bible, How to Read and Understand God's Word.

Well, Greg, thank you so much for joining me again on the Crossway podcast. Yeah, great to be with you, Matt. Thanks. So as Christians, we know that God's

word should play a central role in our lives. And yet, I know I've found for myself, for those that I know and love, I'm sure for you at

times, we still often have lots of questions about the Bible, about what it is and how

to engage with it rightly.

And I want to spend some time today asking you some of those questions, 15 of them to

be precise.
