We got a brand new speaker on the show today for your motivation Monday.

His name is Andre Norman.

And he's going to tell a very inspiring story about how he went from gang banger to a long

prison sentence to a fellowship from Harvard.

It's amazing what he's done. And you can do it as well.

But you got to ask yourself the question, what's inside of me that's stopping this

from happening. Andre Norman, he's coming up.

Born in Boston, my mom had a high school sweetheart.

She had two kids. Everything was great except for he robbed banks for 11.

He went to prison. While he was in prison, she met my dad a local drug dealer.

She had two, she had four more kids. And six kids mom, dad, everything's great except

my dad had a habit of beating up my mom. So I grew up in a house while I was my mother

to beat routinely. And I didn't know that this wasn't normal because I didn't live in

your house. This is just what I know. And you just deal with it.

You come home and there's crying and screaming. You come home and there's cookies on the

table. You're sitting there table at the table eating dinner. Everything's great.

And dad is over in this slug's mom. And you get used to it.

In the 70s, it wasn't called domestic violence. It was called handling your household.

And that's that's what I grew up in. I finally got old enough to go to school.
