In this 149th in a series of live discussions with Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying (both PhDs in Biology), we discuss the state of the world through an evolutionary lens.
This week, we discuss certainty. How certain are you of your positions—on the efficacy of masks, SARS-CoV2 origins, mRNA vaccines, Ukraine, elections, trans, CRT, the police? Has your certainty changed over time? We discuss whether people on a particular side of many fraught issues are more likely to have adopted a position, and a level of certainty, from authorities, and never had it change. We discuss apology, and what a real apology sounds like, and how it should be received. We also ask why so many cities, and those who live in cities, are celebrating mental illness and addiction, rather than working to actually help those afflicted. Being anxious and confused doesn’t mean that the rest of us should go along with your contorted worldview; in fact, it is our duty not to.
NOTE: Tech issue with Livestream Q&A so it never happened. Questions will be answered next week.
