What is up? It is Friday. Thank God. This week especially was one that I just needed it to end. It felt like a very sluggish, I kept feeling like I was sick, but it was allergies, but feeling any type of way that's not 100% myself during these times.

I was like, hey, is this COVID? Now I'm starting to get a little paranoid again. You know what they do have? CVS, if you have a CVS local to you, I guess for like 50 bucks they have COVID test. You can just like take home and do. They're like 15 minutes, like little Bluetooth test or something.

It's a little hot works, but they have those. I'm going to go pick some up. Someone was just telling me about those. It's a little gloomy out today. A little cooler, which you know I'm here for. Okay, because it's been so hot and I can't tell you how nice it is to sit in a cool room in record versus it being so hot.

It was over last night and we were recording next week's obituary. And we started like kind of setting up the office so that it was more soundproof, but I feel like it's also holding in more heat. I don't know.

I can't would never satisfied the speaking of obituary this week's episode of obituary Madison had some strange unusual deaths, including one of my favorite stories about this poodle. So you'll you'll want to listen to that. I talked about something called galvanic reanimation.

I'm really excited for you guys to hear Monday's cold leader because it's it's done in a little bit of a different format. But I think you guys will dig it.

Most importantly, hello merch. I'm so excited. Merch is finally here. We know I take my sweet time with that. I sure do August 12th 12 o'clock PM. The merch drops. It is a pre-order. So it will be open and available for shopping from August 12th through the 18th. And it's not on the cold leader website. It'll be through the Shopify.

Share the links and everything with you guys. Of course, first of all, thank you for wanting merch and wanting to show off the cult show that you're in a cult. I'm really excited. So we have a few things coming back. We have the bomb sweatshirt, the back of my bullshit sweatshirt, and then the mugs.

And then we have two new items. One, I'm keeping a secret until we launch, but the other one is super cute. Colt babe merch with a little dagger logo that will be on a t-shirt that was created by a Colt babe Kendall. So I'm so excited for that to come out. And then of course, I'm excited for the surprise piece.

Again, it's a pre-order. So it'll be open from August 12th to August 18th and everything will be shipped out the first week of September. So even if you ordered on the 12th, unfortunately, we have to wait until the shop closes before we can actually start shipping. So first week of September, everything ships out. If you guys have any questions, you can leave it in the comments. And I'll do my best to answer as many of them as I can.

There's no big rush between the 12th and the 18th to order, but I will say it's going to be closing early on the 18th so that we can literally start ordering things on the 18th to be printed. Try between the 12th and the 17th to place your orders.

Oh, and the only thing that I wanted to add is the only thing that is limited is the mugs because the mugs are ordered separately. It's ordered in like quantities. So if you are wanting a mug or you plan on ordering the mug and you weren't able to get one last time, I think they sold out kind of quick last time. So we ordered a few more this time, but we shall wait and see, but I'm super excited. Yeah, that's my merch update. Finally, a merch update.

We're going to start off this week with an email whose subject line is the spookiest dental patient I ever did see.

Hi, Spencer. My name is and I live in Minnesota, insert Minnesota accent. Oh, so sorry. Minnesota. I absolutely love your podcast. And I recommend it to everyone I know, including all of my dental patients. Yes, you read that right. I tell them I'm a minute cult and they should listen to my leader. Love that.

I have a story to tell you from work last week. Oh, a recent development. I work as a dental hygienist and I was about to see a new patient for their cleaning. My fellow colleague had started their appointment by taking their x-rays and getting a history while I finished up with my prior patient. When she was done, she came into my room and warned me about him. She said she got a weird feeling and that he had some weird answers while she was trying to get to know him. She asked him if he was from around here and he said no.

She said what brought him to Minnesota and he said he had nowhere else to go. Weird, but okay. There were more questions she asked with odd responses from him, but that one stood out. Finally, I was done with my prior patient and ready to go in there and get his cleaning done. When my colleague warned me about his behavior, I just thought to myself great. Another guy who hates the dentist. I'll try to make it quick. Honestly, nothing more. But when I sat down and began his cleaning my stomach churned the entire time he stared through my loops.

Loops, it's L-O-U-P-E-S. Loops. AKA dentist glasses with magnifying glasses. If you look at them from a patient standpoint, it's all eyeballs. And this isn't just for 15 minutes. He stared up my glasses for 45 minutes without looking away.

Not to mention he is sitting directly between my legs in typical dental cleaning fashion. Oh, I-I hate this already. Plus, every time I gave him a rinse, he would suck on the suction straw for so long.

Eventually, I would just pull it away and he would grunt almost in a disrespectful way. Why is going on?
