and producer Rebecca O'Brien to talk about Friendship's death.

A 1987 film by Peter Wallen, in which Tilda Swinton is the woman who fell to earth,

an extraterrestrial named Friendship who on a peace mission misses her intended destination

and winds up in Jordan in 1970 where she meets Bill Patterson's war correspondent.

Restored by the BFI National Archive, Friendship's Death is available on

BFI, Blu-ray and DVD for the first time, as well as on BFI Player, iTunes and Amazon Prime.

So, without further ado, here's my conversation with Bill Patterson and

Rebecca O'Brien.

So Rebecca and Bill, thanks ever so much for coming on the Kermendon Film Podcast.

It's a pleasure to welcome you. Let's begin by Rebecca, I'm going to ask you for a bit of history.
