Good morning everyone. I'm recording an impromptu little mini so episode today. I'm in the middle of my

morning routine. Usually I don't have my phone with me but I have it with me today

and I'm just writing so much down and kind of self-reflecting on the past few weeks since 2020 started and I really really wanted to record this because right now, you know, it's January 15th.

This is a time where a lot of people are feeling really bad about themselves for quote failing at that idea of perfection that they have

you know sought out for themselves at the beginning of this year and I wanted just to do a

little podcast today telling you that I have had those thoughts about myself and you're

not alone if you're also having these thoughts and how to

combat that. So I heard Ed Mylet say something once and it really triggered me. He

said perfection is a cop out and when I first heard that as a

perfectionist and thinking perfection is the ideal way to be.

When I first heard that, I was angry.

I was like, what?

It's not a cop-out.

It's the goal, you know?

But more and more I realize it is a cop-out and this is my kind of iteration of that

that saying he says you know he might have a different meaning behind that but my

meaning behind that perfection is a cop-out is that we think we need to be all or nothing.

If we don't keep a very high standard promise to ourselves then we just give up? No, that's

not what life's about. Life is about bouncing back fast. Life is about having a standard of how you are as a human and sometimes falling off
