Summary

Before the year ends, let's talk about a few things I learned in 2024.

  1. Every emotion has a hidden meaning
  2. The people who say you can’t or won’t are usually the ones who are afraid you will
  3. Someone who becomes your enemy over a misunderstanding without trying to resolve it was always your enemy
  4. We are products of our past but we do not need to be prisoners of it
  5. You will bloom if you take the time to water yourself

Hello, welcome to, welcome back to Trinacare. If you're new here, my name is Ashley. I'm so happy to have you.

0:15.8

We are down to our last two episodes of the year, which is insane. And I kind of went back and forth on what I wanted to end the year with.

0:24.2

I originally was going to do like planning for 2025 or something about vision boards.

0:29.3

But I already did that last year.

0:31.5

And it's like, if people really want that, they can go back to the episode.

0:34.7

And also when I was thinking about that, I was just feeling really

0:38.4

uninspired. I feel like sometimes as creators, we get kind of stuck feeling like we have to perform

0:44.2

and do what we think people want us to do. And sometimes I feel like I have to educate and

0:49.6

give you the best advice and give you all of these tips. But like my podcast was built on just me

0:56.0

talking openly about what I was going through, what I was thinking, just my life. And it's not

1:00.4

like anyone's asking for me to educate you. I'm just saying like sometimes I feel that way.

1:05.9

And I am more drawn to just talking about my life and what's going on in my head and what I'm struggling

1:13.6

with. And luckily through that process, I can give you advice and give you my take on things.

1:20.1

But when I was planning for these episodes, I was like, okay, what can I do to like educate my

1:25.8

audience and give them the best tips for 2025 and I kind of went into

1:29.8

teacher mode and that just isn't fun for me like I don't want to be a teacher like I didn't sign up for

1:36.0

that and no one's asking for that that's just like me being in my head thinking that it has to be perfect

1:41.2

and it's like huge think piece and it doesn't have to be that way.

1:45.0

So I was like, okay, scratch that.

1:46.6

What do we actually want to do?

1:47.9

What can I do that's authentic that I actually want to talk about?
