This is Julie Slattery, and I am in Colorado Springs drinking my coffee at Mission Coffee,

and I can already tell you that we have an interesting conversation in front of us,

and it's interesting because I really don't know where it's going to go.

I've had 10 minutes now to talk with you, Bruce Wilkinson,

and you have confronted me on some things that made me

very uncomfortable just in the 10 minutes that I've gotten to know you.

So that means that it sets the table for the things that the Lord might want to use you

to confront everybody with.

And we've got a tough topic today, too, forgiveness.

Yeah?

Yes, it is a tough topic.

It's difficult for everybody.

Yeah.

No, I heard your name first, probably like most people did, with the best-selling book that

you wrote, The Prayer of J-Bez, that little book that sold millions and millions of millions. Did that surprise you? It shocked me. We didn't even think we'd sell 30,000 copies. There was no advertising, no anything. And a few weeks went by, the publisher calls him, he says, hey, Bruce, your book is selling. I said, Don, what book? He said,

J-Biz. I said, no, nobody's heard of J-Biz. Incredible. It's when God decides to market a book.

I think so. Yeah. Now, speaking of marketing books, I would say probably like two years ago,

my publisher was having a conversation with me about what do you think of writing

next. And I remember her saying, we really need books on forgiveness, but no one wants to buy a book

with forgiveness in the title. Like, everyone needs a good book on forgiveness, but they don't sell.

And as you're listening to this, you're shaking your head like, that's very true.
