0:13.5	trying. The gravity of my loss in the horrific pain and suffering that Michael Peterson brought
0:20.8	with my mother, which I inevitably have to live with, that knowledge every day, is really
0:26.7	too severe for any semblance of retribution to ever truly be made. But with this settlement,
0:34.2	I believe that Michael Peterson is certainly acknowledging this with an offer great enough
0:38.9	to speak, to perhaps begin to speak, to the value of my mother's life and the loss that
0:45.6	I must continue to deal with. And entering this agreement, I can only hope that I might
0:53.3	be able to somehow put some of this behind me. But leaving it in the past, certainly by
0:58.0	no means changes how difficult my future will continue to be without my mother, without
1:03.5	her spirit and her love and constant encouragement.
1:11.7	The night after the viewing, we had a block of rooms at a hotel and dorm family come
1:19.3	in for the funeral friends and my brother and my sister immediately were convinced that
1:25.5	the scene didn't look right. They felt Michael was guilty. I can't tell you exactly the
1:31.4	way they were so sure he had done it, but I guess the crime scene just didn't look right
1:35.0	to them. I did not feel that way. I just felt we had to, I had to do a funeral for my
1:42.8	sister. We had to have a reception afterwards. I had to go through the motions of, like,
1:48.9	bearing my sister.
