Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Mormon Stories podcast. I'm your host

John DeLin. It is April 13th, 2021. We're recording and live streaming to you today from

Mormon Stories Studios in holiday Utah, which is somewhat apt for the topic of today's

discussion. Today we have, I think, a real treat. I know a real treat for you today. Many

of you will know who've been following Mormon Stories podcast that we have been covering

the life in times of Mormon forger and bomber Mark Hoffman. There was a recent documentary

on Netflix called Murder Among the Mormons. And we had Sandra Tanner come talk about it.

We had John Hamer talk about the forgeries. And of course, we had Tyler Meesom and Jared

Hess, the directors and producers of the documentary here on Mormon Stories. And I'm

just so thrilled that we've been able to have that much coverage. And there's more. I'm

so thrilled to say there is more. And so what I have for you today is a super special

treat. And I'm going to have each of our guests today introduce themselves to you. But

what we're going to be covering today is the life of Lynn Jacobs. Now that name is

going to be totally unfamiliar to those of you who kind of aren't of let's just say

of a certain age, maybe a bit of a older generation who were really in the know during

the 80s during those kind of Mark Hoffman sunstone years in the Mormon intellectual circles

here in Salt Lake City. Unless you were a part of all that or unless you've really, really

read up on the life of Mark Hoffman, the name Lynn Jacobs won't mean anything to you.

But if you were involved, if you knew Mark Hoffman, if you were involved in the sunstone Mormon

studies, Mormon history crowd of the late 70s early 80s, then the name Lynn Jacobs will

mean a lot to you. Lynn Jacobs was a, I would say a really important character in the

full story of the life and times of Mark Hoffman. And so we have three super cool guests
