Mike appeared in the Scientology documentary "Going Clear," as well as in the documentary TV Series "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath." He currently co-hosts a podcast with Leah Remini called "Scientology: Fair Game."

0:04.5	John DeLin. It is February 26, 2021. And I could not be more happy or excited to have our
0:12.6	special guest for this Mormon Stories podcast episode. Today we have with us another
0:18.6	than the Mike Rinder. Mike is the co-host of a new podcast called Scientology Fair Game
0:28.0	along with Leah Remini. Mike Rinder also appeared in the documentary known and loved by many Mormons
0:34.4	called Going Clear, which was also a book by Lawrence Wright. Mike Rinder was also kind of a
0:40.4	participant and or co-producer in the Leah Remini series on Scientology that appeared. And going
0:48.0	back even further, Mike Rinder was a Scientologist for many years. And he was a high level top level
0:56.8	executive. You could even say maybe David Miscavich's right hand man, you can correct me if I'm
1:01.9	wrong about that. Mike, but he was the leader of Scientology's Office of Special Affairs,
1:08.0	which handled public relations, legal and government relations, and handling the enemies of
1:13.5	Scientology while he was a member of Scientology. And ultimately, he is, as I understand at the
1:19.9	highest level, the factor of Scientology to date. And by his own words, he along with Leah Remini
1:26.0	are sort of considered public enemies numbers one and two of Scientology. And you have a special
1:32.0	place in my heart, Mike, because I think I am considered public enemy number one of the LDS
1:36.6	Church or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-East states, even though that's not what I'm
1:40.0	gunning for. But without any further ado, Mike Rinder, welcome to Mormon Stories Podcast.

1:51.2	air, I have had the fortunate experience of dealing with now a lot of people from different
1:59.6	religious backgrounds and cult appearances and involvements in high control groups. And it's
2:06.7	always a pleasure to sort of expand my own understanding and perhaps bring some understanding
2:13.4	to others based on my experience. I totally agree. And I so again, I'm just thrilled to have you on.
