The Mandukya Upanishad consists of two kinds of inquiries.

The first inquiry is an inquiry into yourself,

and the second one is an inquiry into Ome.

The second inquiry is meant as a support to the first one.

Second inquiry is made as a support to the first one. The first inquiry proceeds in this way.

We were told that when you look at yourself, you will find four aspects of the self.

The first aspect is the, is found in the waking state where you and the entire

universe that you experience in the waking state are manifestations of one consciousness,

are experienced in one consciousness.

In the dream, the same one consciousness appears to you as you the dreamer and your dream universe.

And in deep sleep, it's the same consciousness which is now experienced as blankness.

So these three pairs, the knower and the known, waker in the waker's universe,

dreamer and the dreamer's universe, the deep sleeper and the deep sleepers,

universe means a merged universe.
