This is Comic Geeks Speak episode 1382, the spotlight on My Little Pony and Comics panel, Denver Con, 2013.

Hi, this is, this is Adam Murdo, and I am the lucky moderator of the panel that you are about to hear,

recorded courtesy of our producer Pants, who showed up to the panel room. A double-sized panel

room at that. You're going to hear a lot of crowd reaction in the background because the space

was packed with people. We estimate some 500 or so. So Pants came in with me, hooked up a laptop

to record the proceedings. I apologize. The sound quality is not always at the best because

some of the panelists were having to share a microphone and didn't always talk directly into said microphone. But it's a fun, rollicking time we all had there, broaning out. At the Denver Con, one of the more successful panels of the weekend, I think, thanks in small part tiers truly. I think I did okay. So now here is me and Katie Cook and Andy Price

and Tony Fleeks and Tom Zaller as we talk about my little pony friendship is magic in comics.

Okay, while our crack staff of volunteers is continuing to find every pony a seat here,

I think it's probably about time we get started.

Wow. Great to hear. Great to hear. Welcome to the My Little Pony Spotlight panel here at the Denver Comic Con.

My name is Adam Murdo, and it is my completely undeserved

honor to be up here to introduce all of you to these fine folks, these professional comic creators

up here in this open, live discussion about translating the world of Equestria from the My Little

Pony Friendship is Magic cartoon to the pages of comic books. And as I said, these folks here are all professional comic book creators.

They have all written and or drawn comics in their time.

And specifically, within the past year, they have put in some work for the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic line of comics from IDW publishing.

So, in a few minutes there, I'm going to start asking them some basic questions,

you know, just to get the ball rolling, ask them about their work.

And there'll be plenty of time left at the end for all you folks out there to ask questions of your own.
