in future episodes. Thank you. 3,300 years ago, a royal sculptor was working on a piece of Egyptian art.

Working in limestone, the artist was carving a portrait of the Queen of Egypt,

Nefer, Nefertiti.

The wife of Arkenaten appeared in many statues and images, and this sculptor was probably replicating

an image they had done many times before. The statue head was mostly complete.

It had the face of Nefatiti and her tall crown,

the flat-topped cap which she traditionally wore.

Today though, the artist was changing it.
