Today, we're going to answer a few very common questions that people have about Mormonism and Joseph Smith and Mormon history.

Some of the questions we're going to tackle today include

what does a pirate,

specifically the pirate captain kid, have to do with Joseph Smith and the creation of the Book of Mormon and the founding of Mormonism.

Secondly, we're going to talk about did Joseph Smith and his family directly engage in treasure digging?

That's the second thing we're going to talk about.

The third thing we're going to talk about is, you know, to what extent was the Book of Mormon and outgrowth of Joseph Smith's treasure digging?

And then finally, we're going to talk about how the LDS church handled, you know, the peepstones and the treasure digging issue throughout its history and what we can learn from all of that.

And ultimately our goal for all of this is, you know, because I like to explain my intentions upfront.
