This is hell considering the past 500 plus years of history in what is now called the Americas.

It's pretty hard to argue that the relationship between those of European ancestry and those of African ancestry

is reconcilable in any way. As historian Gerald Horn has

pointed out on our show in the past, more than a century before what is now

known as the 1619 project, Africans were being enslaved on this continent long

before there was even the idea of the United States. Capitalism was already

enslaving Africans not to mention indigenous peoples as well.

Believing that the US can be reformed, fixed, changed for the better after centuries of struggle,

that equality can be attained.

The equality allegedly guaranteed in the founding documents of the United States

must be seen by now as futile at best. Every time the people rise up against the strong arm of white

supremacy privilege in neoliberalism, the police and their wealthy masters

crack down harder becoming even more cruel, brutal, and violence.

So what can or should be done in that fight for racial equality and against the racialized

violence that targets Africans worldwide.
