Lauren said the worst part of this besides the constant fear is that schools were on continuous lockdown and even though it was a gorge, even though it was gorgeous out, they had recess inside and this went on for days and days and days.

Oh, and so far we've only gone until just the first day.

That stinks. I wish we had recess.

Studies have shown that recess actually in physical activity increases student performance.

So I think that high schools should have recess.

I think there's something to be said for like taking a break mentally.

I mean, they have a lunch period where they can kind of just chill and do whatever for 40 minutes or so.

But physical activity or having recess, it promotes cognitive with cognitive performance.

That makes sense.

Yeah, because exercising clears your head and gets the energy out.

Some people might say, well, you have PE, what's the difference between that and PE?

But PE, you're performing for a grade, you're doing things for a grade for a class that you have to do.
