So this self-described grump turned the tables to ask what places on earth are the happiest and why?

To write his book, The Geography of Bliss, Eric spent months on a quest to find the

happiest country in the world, visiting places as diverse as Switzerland, Qatar, and Thailand.

From India to Iceland, from Bhutan to Britain,

and right here in the good old USA,

he examines what makes people content

with the country they call home.

Today, Eric will tell us which places are the happiest and which are the least happy.
